Impact of Mobility and Change on the Lives of Young Children, Schools, and Neighborhoods: A Workshop

Print   Email

The Board on Children, Youth, and Families will form a program committee to organize a two-day workshop to review research on patterns of change and mobility in the lives of young children (ages 3 to 8 years) and to examine the implications of this work for the design of child care, early childhood and elementary educational programs, and community services for neighborhoods and vulnerable populations that experience high rates of mobility.

An ad hoc committee will plan and conduct the proposed workshop. It will commission background papers and will identify speakers and participants for invited workshop presentations. An individually authored summary of the workshop will be prepared by a designated rapporteur.
