The joint NRC/IOM Board on Children, Youth and Families will host a workshop on June 29-30, 2009, on how student mobility—that is, the movement from one school to another—affects children. This workshop will explore the relationship between student mobility and academic and other developmental outcomes. The workshop will feature a discussion of future policy, program, and research directions.
