The Forum on the Future of Nursing: Acute Care is the first of three nationwide forums convened by the RWJF Initiative on the Future of Nursing, at the IOM. The forum will be held October 19, 2009 at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. The topic of discussion at this forum will be nursing across acute care settings.

Invitation to Submit Testimony on Acute Care Nursing
The committee is inviting individuals and organizations to submit written testimony—which might include innovations/models and barriers/opportunities—in the following three areas: quality/safety, technology, and interdisciplinary collaboration. You may submit testimony in any or all of these areas. While the deadline has passed for testimony to be considered in the development of the forum discussion, the committee still welcomes additional testimony related to acute care nursing.

If you are unable to attend the meeting in person, you are welcome to take part in the meeting via a live webcast. On the day of the meeting, a link to the webcast will be provided here. After the meeting takes place, it will be archived for viewing. Please note that there is no need to register in advance to view the webcast.
