Board on Health Sciences Policy

Print   Email

The Board on Health Sciences Policy (HSP) ensures that there is adequate attention to the science base underlying health and health care, as national and international needs evolve and change. The public and private policies and institutional relations that shape health sciences research or that facilitate application of new knowledge are of particular concern.

The Board on Health Sciences Policy provides oversight and guidance to the program, and encourages the development of activities that foster an environment conducive to productive research, and that anticipate the impact of scientific advances on society, including the social and ethical issues that accompany basic science and technological advances.
