The workshop will provide insight to the similarities and differences between how the US and UK address obesity prevention and a forum for comparative understanding of obesity-related policies.  In turn, this workshop can provide shared discussion on the possible solutions from each country to confront the obesity epidemic.  The workshop will be jointly hosted by the Institute of Medicine, the UK Department of Health and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
