Board on the Health of Select Populations

Print   Email

The Board on the Health of Select Populations (BSP) was established in February 2009 to examine health needs and health policies surrounding a broad range of discrete populations. The Board concentrates on significant health concerns that may affect groups of individuals categorized and defined by common occupation, environment, health condition or characteristics, or a shared exposure to a unique health risk.

The Board assumes the IOM’s continuing work related to the health of members of the military and military veterans, previously conducted by the Board on Military and Veterans Health and the Medical Follow-Up Agency (MFUA). MFUA will operate under the Board on the Health of Select Populations.
